Laini has finished up an interior design program by redecorating her favorite coffee shop, also known as the workplace of Italian dreamboat Joe Pantalone.

The confidence Laini lacks in her design ability, she's put full force into her baking, which earns her a supplemental income and rave reviews among the coffeehouse crowd. With her two best friends newly moved out of their shared apartment, Laini struggles to get along - despite the overtime she puts in making cinnamon rolls and stuffed sandwiches.

Joe is friendly enough but doesn't seem interested, and Laini is swept off her feet when police officer Mark helps her track down an apartment thief and then pursues her. While the story line is a little old (Who will she choose? The good guy or the bad one?), Bateman's writing is good enough to pull the story along to its conclusion.

This is the third book in the Drama Queens trilogy, and while I did not care for it as much as I did the second volume (You Had Me at Good-Bye), it is a lighthearted read, good for a summer trip to the beach, and full of fun, with a Christian backdrop. The epilogue had me grinning from ear to ear, as any good ending should!
