Theresa Falconetti has three rules for dating: no men from her neighborhood, no Italian men, and no professional athletes (a near date rape incident with a New York Blades skater explains the latter). Theresa has a tough time finding the perfect man. Instead she is focusing her energies on the business, a struggling PR agency, that she runs with her best friend.

Michael Dante plays hockey for the New York Blades. He decides that his family-owned restaurant needs PR, and hires Theresa to advise him on how to promote the business. From his first sight of her, Michael wants to date Theresa and can't understand why she refuses to have anything to do with him. He is nothing like the man who hurt her so deeply.

Fair Play is not your typical romance - its realism and touches of humor keep you turning the pages for more. I love Theresa's intelligence, and her wisecracks kept me smiling. Michael deals with her in a sensitive yet seductive manner. I recommend this book to readers who like their romance with a touch of fun.
