Delilah Montague can't get any sleep ... partly due to the loss of her best friend Howard Cash Bradford, who died of a heart attack, and partly due to her neighbor's irritating habit of doing his renovations at night. Delilah has controlling ownership of the exclusive Spa Demay, left to her by Cash. Delilah has promised to keep Cash's reputation intact by not letting on that she was only his arm candy and not his bed partner. Cash's daughter Lilly, believing that Delilah was using her father as her Sugar Daddy, uses her shares of the business in an attempt to pull the rug out from under Delilah. The latter promised to take care of Lilly after Cash's death, which proves to be difficult considering the girl can't stand her.

Benjamin Huntington III has grown up in a prestigious family whose expectations he's unwilling to fulfill. He recently lost his fiancée and his job. His nightly therapy of renovating his condo is irritating his neighbor and she yells at him through the walls. To his surprise it is Delilah who saves him when he is mugged. And Delilah is shocked when she opens the door one evening to find a young girl holding a child sired by Cash. Apparently he promised the girl that Delilah would take care of the baby if he became too much for her. Soon inexperienced Delilah relies on sexy Benjamin to soothe the infant. She has set out to make good on the promises that she made to Cash, as well as those he made to others involving her. The only problem is that she finds herself a little more drawn to Benjamin every day.

Delilah seems at first a cold character but as we get to know her we find her to be a warm, funny, lovable woman and we root for her happiness. Her loyalty to Lilly is amazing considering the girl's harshness towards her. Benjamin is such a marshmallow with the baby that you fall for him instantly. He is kind, thoughtful and romantic. Leanne Banks writes a wonderful story filled with romance and humor. When She's Bad had me laughing out loud at some parts and sighing at others. Grab a copy and settle down for a great read.
