Famous lingerie model Lola Carlyle has come to the Caribbean on a much needed vacation, not so much to get away from her work, but to escape the public eye and figure out her next strategy in the war against her ex-fiancée. After she broke their engagement 'Sam the Jerk' decided to recover his 'losses' by selling some very revealing photos of Lola over the Internet. Thus far all legal action launched against the louse has failed.

Max Zamora, ex-SEAL and sometime undercover operative for the government, is on the run from a nasty drug lord after his cover is blown. Desperate to get back to Miami before Andre Coselli's henchmen catch up with him, Max commandeers the yacht on which Lola and her dog, Baby Doll, are sleeping. He turns deaf ears to not only the dog's yipping protests, but also Lola's as she alternately demands he let them go or threatens him with dire bodily harm.

If Max's body didn't already ache from a beating by his captors, he'd have laughed out loud at the woman's feeble threats. Lola, on the other hand, is kinda tired of being pushed around by men. Faking her need to use the washroom, she comes back wielding a flare gun. Unfortunately it accidentally goes off. After Max puts out the various fires, he's not happy to discover they're sitting dead in the water - easy pickings for the bad guys hunting him. He and Lola eventually agree to a truce and in short order ride out a fierce storm, get stranded on an island, out-smart drug runners, and hardest of all, battle their mutual attraction. Caught in the steamy tropics and with their adrenalin at a constant boil, that is easier said than done.

Lola and Max work well off each other; their dialogue is sexy and often funny and Gibson pushes the story along at a nice brisk pace. She easily moves her antagonists from enemies to lovers and then, once they're back home, allies as they hatch a plan to steal back Lola's revealing photos from 'Sam the Jerk'. In Lola Carlyle Reveals All, Rachel Gibson delivers another light-hearted and provocative concoction that readers can't help but enjoy.
