Hank Cooper is always on the road, never staying in one place for too long. When he hears about his friend's death at Thunder Point he decides to pay his respects there. And Hank doesn't really believe that a big man like Ben could have just fallen down the stairs accidentally, as has been reported.

What Hank wasn't expecting is that his friend Ben left him everything - a rundown bait and bar and a very large parcel of land that includes a beautiful beach front. He knows the land is very valuable and he doesn't want to sell unless the bar is renovated. So he needs to stay in Thunder Point and get it done.

As time goes by he realizes that the community is very friendly, which changes his outlook. Especially when he meets beautiful Sarah Dupre. They both have large commitment issues but an equally strong attraction develops. Though it starts out as the no strings attached relationship he has always had, soon Cooper thinks differently. He could leave Thunder Point a richer man or he could stay and live a richer life.

I really liked how Robyn Carr put together the characters in this book, most of them likeable but one you just want to kick in the butt. She weaves a sweet tale of romance intermixed with issues of teen bullying. There is a nice realistic rhythm to the book, which is very enjoyable to read.
