Marceline Murphy has been away from Boston for five years after her parents moved to New York. Now, at eighteen, she is back in her home town. She has grown up to be a very beautiful young woman, with a deep faith. Marceline had a childhood crush on her best friend's brother and finds that she still has feelings for him. He is everything she ever wanted and she longs to be his wife and a part of his big loving family. But she discovers that Sam O'Rourke has changed along with his best friend Patrick O'Connor.

Sam and Patrick have a reputation as ladies men, rogues with wild ways that just won't be tamed. When Father Fritz catches them drinking the church wine at St. Mary's, he makes them help with the fundraiser's Christmas Play, an old Irish story called Light in the Window. They play it cool when they find out that Marceline is in charge - she has become a lovely woman that each wants to woo. After both Patrick and Sam profess undying love for Marceline, she is faced with a choice. She believes the path is as clear as day, but sometimes you don't see the light before it's too late.

A Light in the Window is a fun spiritual read about love and the choices we need to make even when the way is unclear. This story will warm your heart, make you chuckle here and there, and provoke many emotions towards each of the characters. It will bring the true meaning of Christmas to the surface and make you want to put a light in your own window. So grab a hot chocolate, warm yourself in front of a fire and dig in to a wonderful book.
