Rebecca is so angry that she causes an earthquake and things start to collapse. Then a huge man, standing at the end of the aisle in a kilt, tells her that she must come with him for she is a chosen one. Rebecca finds out that she is actually an Earth Amazon warrior and needs to learn how to fight evil. She also discovers that she has some incredible powers to master and is about to be trained by an incredible, delectable man, Astair MacKay. Astair, a Scottish warrior and sentinel to the Amazonian women, soon realizes the Rebecca is very vulnerable, afraid, and totally confused by her new life. He understands, and wants to protect, this beautiful woman who attracts him like no other. But he must keep his feelings at bay - when evil rears its ugly face, she must be ready or all will die. Sandy James sure knows how to weave a tale. She takes a weak, vulnerable woman and makes her realize her self worth by throwing her into a situation most of us would run away from. I love a strong heroine, and a man in a kilt with a Scottish brogue. The Reluctant Amazon has action, humor and forbidden romance - you just have to love it.
