Nevada Hendrix is the last of the triplet sisters remaining single. She feels a bit left out when they plan their double wedding since they have done almost everything together. She is happy for them but wants love and family for herself as well. She is also leaving the family business to find a job. She wants to know that she can be independent and make it on her own.

Tucker Janack is running a job for his father's company. He wants to show his father that he is capable of running the company when he retires. Tucker and Nevada shared a rather embarrassing one night stand. Nevada's brother asked her to look him up while she was in college and one thing led to another. Nevada's interview with Tucker is a bit of a bust and Nevada leaves thinking she doesn't have the job. But Tucker wants her to work for him and lets her know it will be business only.

The sparks fly right away. Nevada tries to stay away from him but they can't stop bumping into each other. To make matters worse, Cat (Tucker's ex-girlfriend from their college days) shows up. She and Nevada were friends until the episode with Tucker. He wants no part of Cat now, knowing that he was never in love with her. He finds himself drawn to Nevada in a way he has never experienced before, but knows she wants it all and is not sure he can give it to her. Nevada is hooked on Tucker - the business only deal didn't stick and she is not pleased with herself.

Only His is the third Fool's Gold story and probably the best one yet. The humor will make readers laugh out loud. The secondary romances between town bartender Jo and Will (Tucker's right hand man), and also between Nevada's mom Denise and her old flame Max are fantastic. There are moments where Nevada thinks she may be scarred for life and others where readers will feel for Jo's past. Susan Mallery is one of my favorite authors and I will be waiting to see what happens next in Fool's Gold.
