Marisa Angelo has come back to Lancaster County, Springville because she has been haunted by her mother's disappearance since she was a little girl. A man by the name of Link has found a suitcase between the paneled walls of a house he has been renovating, and the suitcase belonged to Marisa's mother. The only memory she has of her mother is of her walking away, suitcase in hand.

Marisa is desperate for answers, but the police and the Amish keep very quiet on the subject. No one admits to knowing anything about her mother's disappearance. As time goes by, a few start to speak, and the mystery just gets deeper and deeper. Only one man helps her unravel the puzzle, a handsome ex military loner fighting his own demons.

But there is someone in the town of Springville who wants the past to stay buried, and will do anything to keep it hushed up.

Vanish In Plain Sight is a book with a mystery to solve, questions to be answered, and a plot well worth reading. I enjoyed it very much, finding it refreshing and different.
