Dax is a refugee from Zetith, whose inhabitants have a feline gene. When his world was destroyed, he lost everything. He spent most of his life on a refugee ship, learning the Zetithian way. Now, Dax transports passengers to different worlds. Dax is a virgin - no one had ever made him purr until he met Ava, a beautiful half alien who is running away to find her father. Dax is shocked by her effect on his senses and is willing to sacrifice anything to win her love.

Dax has no idea how to approach the opposite sex at all. Given his bad boy image, Ava tries to avoid him, unwilling to repeat a past mistake. Dax tries to romance and seduce her, but to no avail. All he does is mess up. Neither Ava nor Dax expects that they will get together, but they end up on the adventure of a lifetime.

It's an interesting story, full of humor and love, but not your typical science fiction as it's almost too hot to hold. If you are easily offended, it's definitely not for you. But if you enjoy hot steamy love scenes, you're not going to put it down. I would have liked to read more of the sub plot going on in the background, but overall I appreciated the humor in Virgin.
