The death of Lady Isabel Townsend's father has left her with very little money. She's in need of help to keep her brother's inheritance intact, and to continue to take in troubled women - she makes sure they stay safe. The women come from different backgrounds but live in the house doing different jobs and taking care of each other.

Isabel is ecstatic when she runs into Nicholas St. John - she has seen the popular ladies' magazine that names him London's Lord to Land. She does not want to court or marry him; she wants him to buy her deceased mother's marble collection in order to ensure her younger brother's place in society as the next earl.

Nicholas St. John finds it refreshing that Isabel doesn't seem to know about the ladies' magazine. He comes to her home to view the marble collection and ends up having to stay when the roads are flooded with rain. He finds that she has other women staying there and recognizes one of them as a duke's sister he's been looking for. He doesn't let on that he knows she is there but encourages Isabel to tell him her secrets and to trust him.

After getting to know Nicholas, Isabel can see why the magazine calls him the Lord to Land. He has a rough exterior but when they are alone, he is not only sensitive but passionate. When the two get together the air is static with tension, but will their love survive the secrets each holds back?

Ten Ways to be Adored When Landing a Lord is the sequel to Nine Rules to Break when Romancing a Rake (both about the St. John siblings). This story is just as good as the first and can be read as a standalone. The sparks that fly between Isabel and Nicholas will keep fans enchanted for a long afternoon of reading.
