Tori Morgan's family is long gone; when her aunt dies she is left a house that is old and neglected. It is something to finally call her own so she moves in and starts up her shop in the front of the house. She lived there for a couple of years before her aunt became too sick to care for her. Since it was the longest time she spent in one place as a child she connected with the area. Tori feels her biological clock ticking and longs to have the family that she never had growing up.

Nick Santangelo has all kinds of family; while he loves them dearly it seems that they are all way too involved in his life. His teenage daughter is going with a guy and claims to be in love; his brother works for him but messes everything up because his heart is more in acting; his mom has some sort of secret place where she goes; and his grandmother is a kleptomaniac. His life is crazy and when his secretary asks him to help Tori out with the house, it is only going to get crazier.

Nick thinks Tori is nuts when he first meets her but he is intrigued by her and finally agrees to help her out after hours. Little does he know that after he first said no, she lit one of the candles she received last year from a witch and Nick suddenly came back. Tori has met his family and loves them but the conflict between Nick and his daughter comes to a head when Tori hires her to work in the store - at first she did not know the girl was Nick's daughter.

A Little Light Magic has great characters. Nick's grandmother Noona is colorful and probably my favorite. Nick and Tori both have issues with their past that could hurt their future together. Joy Nash creates a story of love with a touch of magic that will end up as a keeper for readers. I find myself wanting to read more of the other family members.
