Daisy Dooley is almost forty and divorced. She left her husband Jamie after a year and a half of marriage because it didn't feel right. From the moment she walked down the aisle she knew she was making a mistake. She hung in, hoping things would improve and because she did not want to look like a failure.

Now Daisy is divorced and going through a difficult time in her life. She cannot connect with the right man. Her best friend Jess, still single herself, encourages Daisy to get back out there and just have fun. Everywhere Daisy goes she sees happy couples who seem to have it all. Even her ex has remarried. Broke and jobless, Daisy is back home living with her mother. She can hear her biological clock ticking loud and clear.

When Daisy was a young girl her father left her mother for a younger woman. She was raised to be strong and independent but Daisy has always yearned for a loving partner and children. Now even Daisy's mother has found love and it has left Daisy feeling alone and desperate.

Soon Daisy begins to navigate the dating scene again. When a much younger man asks her out she is confused. Why would he want an older, mature woman when he could have any number of young women. After giving in and trying to trust, she begins dating and soon her world is off kilter again. After a chance meeting with her first true love, Daisy is under his spell again, only to find out he is getting married to a younger woman.

Daisy to about to give up on love when she finds the man of her dreams. Daisy Dooley Does Divorce and learns a few lessons along the way. A laugh out loud read.
