When race champion Scotty Templeton tells people about the ghostly passenger he picked up during a race in which he crashed, they start to think he is nuts. The spooky passenger turns out to be Larry 'Speed' Cooper and the main reason he is there is to get Scotty to deliver a car engine to his daughter. Scotty decides to do it just to get rid of the annoying ghost, who seems intent on plaguing him until the deed is done.

Maggie Cooper is speeding towards Chicago for a weekend with her boyfriend and an interview for a great job when the call comes from her grandmother that a strange man is at the house claiming her father sent him. She rushes home to get rid of him but ends up not only missing her interview but also trying to help Templeton. Soon, Scotty is wildly attracted to Maggie and Maggie finds herself succumbing to his magnetism. Speed Cooper is mortified when Scotty finds himself attracted to his daughter but how can a ghost keep them apart?

Jenna McKnight crafts a delightful tale that is refreshing, hot, and also has a great element of humor in it. Ghostly Speed's antics will make you giggle. Maggie is a strong woman who knows what she wants. Scotty also is pretty determined. Can the two of them meet in the middle to make each other happy and will Speed ever give his family the answers that they have been waiting for? Love in the Fast Lane is one book you don't want to miss.
