In one day, twenty-seven year old Bette Robinson makes a spontaneous decision to walk away from her career in investment banking. She has barely begun looking for a job when her Uncle Will suggests she work for one of his old interns. The glamorous job of being a party planner is now Bette's. Her new job requires her to seek VIPs and hang out with them. She is soon horrified to find herself in the gossip pages, connected to one of the biggest playboys, Philip Weston.

The sensational aspects of being a party planner are getting old when Bette meets a bouncer named Sammy and finds him attractive - but she is still being linked with Philip in the media. Not only is the job cutting into her love life but the gossip pages have reached her hometown, where her parents are not too happy about her choices. The people that she works with are fake, into drugs, and will stop at nothing to meet VIPS to create a successful party.

Everyone Worth Knowing is an engaging book that will keep your attention with its variety of characters and surprises. Bette is a likeable girl who seems to just go with the flow for the most part. The secondary characters have many quirks that will make you laugh. Lauren Weisberger has a knack for writing a story that keeps readers entertained for hours.
