Lucy Ricardo meets Dr. Frasier Crane in Lois Greiman's humorous, suspenseful Unzipped. Cocktail waitress turned psychologist Christina McMullen has her share of eccentric patients in LA. But football star Andrew 'The Bomber' Bomstad takes the cake when he shows up unzipped for a session with Christina, and drops dead at her feet while chasing her around her desk. To make matters worse, investigating officer Jack Rivera believes that Christina was unethically involved with Bomstad and had a hand in his murder.

Convinced she has only herself to rely on, Christina embarks on an investigation, a hare-brained one that's full of zany misadventures. During their course, she has the interesting experiences of working with a lecherous hacker, and holding a Porsche hostage, not to mention breaking and entering. Jack Rivera continues to be a source of intense aggravation as well as temptation. The result is a highly successful, tongue-in-cheek, comical suspense guaranteed to entice and entertain.

Wacky quotes preceding each chapter, a sassy heroine whose mouth just won't quit, and an ambiguous hero, all set the stage for a comical series of events. Suspense, laughter and sexual tension permeate the book. Besides a tough-to-solve mystery, the story's ably helped along by a worthy cast of secondaries including sexy Brainy Laney and geeky JD Solberg. Unzipped is a winner and hopefully heralds the beginning of a sparkling new series.
