There is nothing he won't do for his Charlie; Logan's determined to make their special times together at Willow Lake perfect, especially during the upcoming Christmas break. The postcard pretty town is the perfect place for the pair to reconnect and have a blast despite Logan's busy schedule now that he's sold his insurance business and re-opened the Saddle Mountain ski resort. His family and friends are sceptical of its success, but Logan is determined to make a go of it. Darcy Fitzgerald is still getting over a disastrous marriage and isn't in the market for a new romance. She's not prepared to get involved with potential heartbreaker Logan O'Donnell, despite his charm, his wonderful way with kids, and the fact that he's as much of an outdoors sports nut as she is. Nor does Logan see a relationship with Darcy as more than a quick winter fling. He's looking for someone who wants to settle down and start a family, which is the last thing on Darcy's mind; she's sworn never to fall in love again and vows to stay single forever. But their attraction is hot enough to melt mountain snow, and once they give in to the fire both realise that what they have together shouldn't be ignored. If you're looking for some lighter reading fare during your busy holiday season, then Candlelight Christmas is the book for you. It presents an airy plot with plenty of Christmas atmosphere and, unlike many of Wiggs' previous stories, characters who aren't bogged down with excessive baggage. To make her latest in the Lakeshore Chronicles series even sweeter, Wiggs offers up Christmas recipes aplenty at the beginning of each chapter.
