Mugging? Not likely. Evidence shows deliberate, cold-blooded murder. The murderer wasn't too smart. Left too many clues. Lieutenant Eve Dallas catches the call. Tracing back Marta's day, Eve realizes this will not be an open and shut case. Too many others are involved. Marta, an accountant, had been working on three audits. Any one of which could have been the cause of her death. The story, as with any of author J. D. Robb's two hundred novels, proceeds to become more and more suspenseful, with a touch of lovemaking to spice up an already enjoyable book. Many characters are involved – some likable, some not. Just like real life. The slight look into the future with wrist units and other electronic gadgets may put some off for a brief moment. Enjoy a glimpse into our possible future. Eve plows on, getting nearer and nearer to the closure of the case. Calculated in Death is another in the Death series. J. D. Robb, the pen name for a number-one New York Times best-selling author has more than four hundred million copies of her books in print. Wow! Good read.
