lade is infected with a virus that makes him crave blood. He has also gained powers that make him almost immortal. Blade cannot understand why he is so attracted to this slip of a girl. He needs to be in complete control of himself every time she is around. Even though Blade knows who she is, he realizes that she is withholding the truth from him, hiding a secret. his is wildly different from anything I have ever read in the romance department. What an imagination Bec McMaster has. When you first start to read you are thinking historical, yet it turns into a fantasy. I totally immersed myself in this book and the world did not exist. But as all good things do, it came to an end.
