Viscount Ryecroft is a young man who lacks funds to give his beautiful sister her first season. He wants to see her married well so that she can enjoy the luxuries that she deserves. Rye also needs to take care of his manor home and properties, so that his mother has a place to live in her dowager years. He knows he should find an heiress to marry.

Rye's and Sophie's mother Miranda is a dowager who wants to improve her children's lives. She is considering going to her old friend and asking him for a loan. She ends up asking to be his mistress, but that isn't an option. Miranda only wants to see her children marry for love, not money.

Sophie is a spirited young woman who wants to help her family. She has thought of many ways of trying to help them. But she finds herself in London for her first season with the aid of a Lady Stone. Maybe Sophie will marry a rich man to save the day.

As all three end up in London, each with a plan of their own making, readers wonder will each of the Ryecrofts find their destiny?

It's an excellent book, witty, charming, and full of interesting twists and turns that keep the pages turning. The characters are endearing, and complement each other. There is humor with some steamy parts, and with great dialogue all the way through. Just One Season in London is an enchanting tale.
