Willow was seventeen at the time they went through the ceremony. She believed it had been a cruel joke, but it seems that the fake minister was a justice of the peace and the marriage was binding. Willow was brought to her father by her brother Steven from his outlaw camp when she was nine. Though she was a surprise to her father (since her mother had left with a lover), he welcomed her readily. He just wished that Steven would maintain a relationship with him. Steven did keep tabs on Willow - he protected her and visited her. He was an outlaw though, a train robber. Now with Gideon in the picture, Steven is in danger. Willow has fallen in love with Gideon all over again and it seems that Gideon has feelings for her - but Steven is robbing the trains that are his livelihood. Gideon has not yet broken the news to his fiancée that he is still married, and he is still trying to capture Steven. Both issues are not going to sit well with Willow. Gideon knows that she meets with Steven at night but has not gone after him yet. Will Willow have to choose between her husband and her brother? Willow is a reissued story from early in Linda Lael Miller's career. A shorter story, it has been updated with new subplots and an expanded portrayal of the characters. Willow is a historical romance filled with suspense and betrayal. Linda Lael Miller pens a wonderful western that will keep readers turning pages and will stay with them.
