World champion rodeo star Austin McKettrick comes back to Blue River after being beaten by his last bull. He is angry and his career is over. It's a hard pill to swallow but going home seems like the best answer. His brothers won't leave him alone though. They even hire Paige Remington to nurse him while she is in between jobs. Though Austin fires her multiple times, she refuses to go, informing him that she was hired by his brothers.

Paige went out with Austin back in high school and was hurt by him when she found him with another girl. Back then, she even tried running him down with the golf cart, but now she has been hired to nurse him back to health and that is what she is going to do. The only problem is that the more time she spends with the infuriating man, the more she remembers how much she loved him.

Austin knows he can't live without Paige but he is not sure if he is ready to plant his roots back in Blue River. Paige is unsure that she can trust him again but she also can't stop the feelings building inside her. The chemistry between them has always been there but can they overcome the past?

This third in the McKettricks of Texas series proves to be another hit. Linda Lael Miller weaves a story filled with romance, passion and mystery that will keep you turning the pages. Austin vows he doesn't want to be tied down to the ranch but will Paige change his mind? This is a McKettrick story fans will not want to miss.
