As the story opens Sarah is still bound by a curse from an evil witch, one that will eventually heighten Sarah's rather benign tendencies to those of a more lethal sort - at least for those poor souls she'll attack to quench her growing bloodlust. Never one to let life give her lemons, Sarah isn't ready to give in to what looks like an inevitable future - and neither is her dedicated, if secretive, boyfriend, the master vampire of Toronto, Thierry. However, while he works to find answers to breaking his beloved's curse, Sarah is forced into a dark bargain with Gideon Chase, who obviously hadn't been scorched to death in his most recent skirmish with the undead. Determined to avoid the fires of hell, Gideon demands Sarah turn him into a super vampire or her closest loved ones would pay - errrr - dearly! Can Sarah steal back the Grimoire from Gideon and reverse her curse before her humanity is completely lost - or will she be forced to give in to Gideon's nasty demands? Fans of this popular series will appreciate how Rowan ties everything up in Tall, Dark & Fangsome. This one's definitely the best of the series: a fun blend of sassy humour, lively romance, a delicious dollop of the dark side, and of course, Rowan's trademark host of quirky characters.
