Channel 7 news is in decline. With an older female anchor and an incompetent young male one, the news station approaches sweeps week outrun by their competitors. Determined to make the best of the high-traffic week and trump the other stations, producer Hugo tries to dig up some great stories for their show.

What he does find, however, can only rival the drama found within his own office. Botox, an eager intern, and a story gone wild create utter pandemonium as the employees of Channel 7 rev up for the news. When their lead anchor goes missing, the station goes into a whirlwind, leaving only calm Hayden Hazard to keep everyone under control - and prayed for.

A little mystery, a little romance, and a lot of fun, Scoop is the first book in Gutteridge's Occupational Hazards series, which chronicles the lives of the Hazard brothers and sisters after the tragic death of their parents. Once a troupe of clowns, the Hazards are left to make it on their own while battling for the strong faith their parents left them. Hayden's story in Scoop will make you laugh out loud and want to read more.
