iona Lachlan's life took a turn away from one of privilege when her father stood up for what he believed in. Now, in desperate straits, she agrees to meet a man (Lord Belkin) who betrayed his lover and to put a potion in his drink. But when she gets to the inn, she recognizes the man who comes into the room as the Duke of Holburn and not the one she was supposed to drug.
ick, the Duke of Holburn, shows up at this room in the inn, because he has heard that Belkin will be there. Nick believes that Lord Belkin has information about his signet ring and money, both stolen one night when he drank too much. He wants them back. But when armed gunmen blast into the room, Nick and Fiona must escape. Since Nick downed the drink with the potion in it, Fiona has to take him to her apartment. She then decides to kidnap him, but that plan goes awry when the men who were shooting at them the night before come looking for Annie - Annie Jenkins was the one originally hired to drug Lord Belkin.
Seduction at Christmas
is a great story, filled with romance, passion and adventure. Fiona is a stubborn character who softens when she falls in love with Nick. Nick is a rogue but he can't seem to keep his mind or his hands off Fiona. The pair work through the fact that Fiona was raped and the problems that Nick has with his family. This is a wonderful book to curl up with on a cold afternoon.
