The Scottish village of Lochdubh is again invaded by crime. A television crew arrives to do an expos9 of life behind the lace curtains of this Highland village. The dreaded first program is aired. Before another can be filmed, the anchor is murdered. Enter Hamish MacBeth, the seemingly bumbling police constable, to solve that crime and another subsequent murder. At the same time, he is kept busy warding off the attentions of a young and attractive reporter.

Beaton has once again charmed her readers with a Scottish Highland cozy mystery. Her books are always a delight and I admit to being one of her most ardent fans. If my count is right, this is her eighteenth book featuring that lovable redhead Hamish. If you have not yet discovered this Death of ... series, don't waste any time. A light, fun read to cheer any day. The author also writes the Agatha Raisin series; also books not to be missed.
