Coming to the States and competing for a writing job is out of character, but she's tired of a fellow ghostwriter picking up all the best jobs so is determined to fight for this one. Unfortunately, Shotgun's son's corpse washes up on the beach wearing a wedding dress. Will Shotgun still want to write his memoirs after this tragedy? Lee's unshakeable curiosity and her desire to get to the truth pushes her to investigate. Another murder occurs in the Hamptons and this time she knows the victim. McIntyre has a winner in her engaging protagonist and is adept at writing gripping mysteries that will keep you guessing until the end.
