Iris heads to New York City, leaving her cheating husband behind in California. It's a gutsy move, but right away she's laid off from her new job in market research. With no income and very little savings, how is she going to keep paying the rent on her cozy, but pricey little studio apartment?

When she's asked by a friend's neurotic twin sister to follow her husband Steve around New York, Iris takes the job. She needs the money and besides, she has a thing about cheating husbands. But even in crowded New York City, tailing someone isn't easy. Finding him in a compromising position proves even harder.

Although Iris is not able to resolve Vickie's marital problems, word-of-mouth brings her other jobs and her unwanted business become successful despite her bumbling incompetence. Meanwhile Iris' interest in Steve is growing and it's personal, not job related. When he finds out she's following him, the only thing left to do is become a double-agent.

A humorous starting-over novel, It's About Your Husband is chick lit with a twist. Iris Hedge is a wacky, but vulnerable California girl stuck in New York with few friends and an uncertain future. Lipton is a new voice, from whom readers will want more.
