recipes – all favorites, tried-and-true. Phyllis Pellman Good never liked to cook, but marriage pressed her into service. She has since progressed to become a knowledgeable hand in the kitchen and has chosen the recipes in her new book from over 3,000 submitted. They have to be good or they would not have made the cut.

. However, the recipes are far from the usual.

? With a prep time of 20-25 minutes and 25 minutes cooking time! Sounds like a winner to me. With the tip to put a handful of dry quick oats into your barbecue, chili or spaghetti sauce to thicken it, you can't go wrong. The
caught my eye.
Southwestern Pesto Pasta
– quickly made and cooked - sounds wonderful. Never would have thought of
– but it sounds delicious. So does the
Sweet Potato Salad
. A great tip inspires me to make
Marinated Carrot Sticks
by placing the carrots in dill pickle juice!
