In Daddy Goes to Work (a tale told in rhyme), his daughter proudly goes too. After breakfast, they travel on the subway, then 'walk past shops and stores' and a street musician, into the lobby and up the elevator to dad's office.

His daughter is happy to see something from home in the room ... 'Hanging on the wall / Is a picture that I drew / Of Mommy, Daddy, and me / And Little Brother too.' They eat lunch outside in the sunshine, walk in the park and play hopscotch, then she helps dad out with a presentation.

Almost home, she tells us, 'I'm so proud of Daddy / And all the work we've done.' Jabari Asim tells a sweet story of father and daughter's joy in each other as she shares his work day, while Aaron Boyd's rich paintings bring the story's urban surroundings to vivid life.
