A page at the back of the book is reserved for the reader to write 'thankful thoughts, year after year ...' It opens 'Thanks for Thanksgiving, / for turkey and pie' and moves on to all the other things and people that make up a child's happy, involved world ... 'Thanks for umbrellas, / for rain boots and puddles. / Thank you for Mommy / and warm, cozy cuddles.' Finally, there's the groaning holiday table (wish I could join them there), with 'But MOST of all, thanks / for the family I love!' I have to join in with a big thanks for such a delightful picture book, and highly recommend Thanks for Thanksgiving to you for annual holiday reading.
