Grateful is accompanied by a CD, and picture book and music go best together. Listen to Art Garfunkel sing 'Grateful, grateful / Truly blessed / And duly grateful', while reading John Bucchino's lyrics and enjoying Anna-Liisa Hakkarainen's warm and fuzzy illustrations of all we should celebrate around us. Here's my favorite verse, 'Whatever stone life may sling, / We can moan ... / Or we can sing!' The words and a simplified version of the sheet music for the song are included at the back of the book. Listen to Grateful often together, in good times and bad. It's a gentle reminder, for both kids and adults, to focus on the positive in life, to be happy, and truly grateful.
