Pat and Betty work in the test kitchen for the Reynolds Company – you know who that is. Think aluminum foil. They work together to devise, test and perfect 'accessible, delicious, and realistic recipes designed to make the best use of our products but also of our consumers' time'. Pat & Betty represent Reynolds products on TV, radio and the Internet. They are not actresses but have between them worked in the food industry for over thirty-four years. So they know what they are doing.

Of course, they are going to push Reynolds products. But it's in a good cause - to bring easy but good cooking to the busy cooks of today. All you ever need to know about cooking equipment and utensils, stocking your pantry, refrigerator and freezer along with some great shopping tips are available in the first pages of Pat and Betty's No-Fuss Cooking. The cookbook begins with Appetizers, Snacks and Salads. Each recipe presents prep time, cooking or chilling time, and serving size. Interspersed are Kitchen Tips touting Reynolds products. Don't skip these tips. They include some very good cooking advice and will come in handy.

Photographs accompanying each chapter are beautiful and immediately had me drooling - such as one of Jalapeno Beef and Cheese Roll-Ups. Next comes Fish and Seafood (Pat & Betty are pictured with a fishing rod and creel). Though I doubt they caught their own fish, their recipes are varied and mouthwatering. Many use foil packets for cooking and produce great looking dishes, with a minimum of clean-up ... Herbed Fish and Vegetable Packets looks wonderful. Moving right along, Poultry and Meat get their time on stage. As does Holiday Cooking, Casseroles, Packet Meals and One-Dish Dinners. The cookbook then segues into Vegetables and Side Dishes. Cakes, Cupcakes and Cookies make up their own chapter followed closely by Desserts and Holiday Desserts.

The main thrust of Pat & Betty's No-Fuss Cooking (a really handy cookbook) is to cook healthy, tasty, beautiful food with a minimum of time and little cleanup. Works for me.
