Just as kids take on new projects with huge enthusiasm (that often drops when reality sets in) so do these dinosailors set off exuberantly to sea ... 'They haul on lines, hoist dinosails, / And scale the rigging with their tails.'

These enthusiastic dinosailors 'have a ball, / Until their vessel hits a squall' with results that will entertain readers, whether dino-size or little. 'They dinosault like Ping-Pong balls, / Bumping dinorumps and walls.' The verses are delightfully funny and Howard Fine's illustrations are fantastic, bringing the lumbering dinos to life in full seasick glory - I especially like the picture where they all fountain over the sides at once.

You have to feel a bit sorry for these big 'dinowhiners'. And all too soon after their traumatic sail they pick a new passion. Dinosailors is a must read for small ones who enjoy dinosaurs or sailing, and it's great fun for everyone. I liked it a lot.
