Born's series starring legendary NYPD Detective Michael Bennett. He and his wife, Mary Catherine, have ten (!) adopted children, and are working on one of their own. A previous episode, Crosshairs, introduced taciturn former Army Ranger Rob Trilling, who now partners with Bennett, and dates his eldest daughter Juliana. The story opens on an explosives expert, Tom Owens, as he's recruited by domestic terrorists. They set off a series of explosions in New York, and Michael investigates. As this proceeds, Rob asks for time off, to help his brother, who's being pressured hard by gangster/developer Arnold Marks to sell his car lot (the family business) in Montana. His brother Gary has taken on 'a therapy llama'. Soon, they're dealing with arson and a death. In NY, Michael starts to work with bright ATF Special Agent Maggie Chin, and enjoys her attitude. But when Rob calls to ask for help, he heads to Bozeman, Montana. After violent encounters send Marks and his henchmen on the run, they return to NY, and learn that Marks has headed there as well.
