hen the Moon Hits Your Eye
is very different from John Scalzi's other SF offerings, themselves varying from the usual spacefaring fare. I sum it up as a satire on society and cheese, as the author delves into all the weird and wonderful things that might happen - and how oddly all sorts of people might react - when the moon turns overnight into cheese.
T
hough we (and the rest of humanity) never do find out why the moon turned to cheese in the first place, Scalzi covers the discovery and its aftermath from all perspectives - scientific, political, business, romance, and just plain human) - with his usual style, wit insight, and humor.
