I
've enjoyed these stories despite struggling with characters' rather complicated and confusing names and titles. Lead Othara Celehar was a Witness for the Dead, who could experience the last moments of any recently deceased.
I
n the previous episode, he was devastated to lose that ability and hence his status as a Prelate. Despite that, he's kept busy delving into the long missing records of a municipal cemetery, and training his successor Velhiro Tomasaran. Then he's kidnapped by a group of miners, confronts the remains of a dragon and takes on a related quest to seek justice from the emperor himself.
T
hrough it all, including several assassination attempts, Captain Olgarezh has his back - and feelings grow between them, in a fitting ending to this unusual fantasy trilogy.
