Splinter Effect
opens an exciting new time travel series starring archaeologist Rabbit Ward. He travels in time on sponsored expeditions to recover priceless historical artefacts moments before their destruction.
T
wice now, his plans, down to the location of the dig, have been leaked to a competitor, Helen, whom he encountered in the past. As a favor, she advises him to meet Dr. Agrawal at the British Museum. Twenty years before, Rabbit had mentored Aaron (scion of a very wealthy family and a friend) to bring back a sacred menorah - and lost both the artefact and Aaron. Now, Dr. Agrawal shows him evidence of the menorah in sixth century Constantinople ... along with a mummified rabbit.
O
f course, he heads back again, seeking redemption. Turns out that Helen shows up there as well, and it's quite an odyssey for both of them. Rabbit barely avoids death more than once, and has a most surprising meeting with Emperor Justinian's mystic advisor, who offers Rabbit the legacy he has built in a splintered time. Looking forward to more in this series!
