as the second in a National Parks thriller series. In the first, a terrorist explosion brought down the Statue of Liberty, so I opened this one with anticipation. The lead is National Park Service Special Agent Michael Walker, who has a prosthetic for his left foot. FBI special investigator Gina Delgado also works with him once again.

n parallel, FBI special investigator Gina Delgado, seeks for clues to the murder of an environmental science intern in Everglades National Park, Florida, a matter of
national security
. After the submarine's call for help, Gina is sent to Alaska as well. She and Michael are up against a deadly prehistoric organism re-emerging due to global warming, a rogue billionaire, and Russian assassins and commando teams.

s always, Landau ties these disparate plot threads into an exciting, action-packed read with a crescendo of a conclusion!
