Strong Testimony ...

This powerful testimony to an out of body experience resonates with good writing and deep feeling. It involves author Sharon Prentice's late military husband who died from pancreatic cancer, illness likely related to his military work. This was one bitter and angry woman for a long time and full of bile toward any God or religion.

She discusses the history of the study of out of body experiences and did not believe in what she considered such nonsense until she gave up fighting and 'just let it happen.' She joins her husband out of body as he becomes starlight. He is at peace and content. She becomes likewise.

Is this even possible? She repeatedly states that no language is suitable to describe the experience that became her transformation into understanding and compassion. A perspicacious reader, she notes that Yeats said the beautiful and innocent have no enemy but time. The young don't get it. It took her years of anguish and rage against the unfairness of life to reach peace.

She makes a credible case for what happened to her as being very real. Can it be proven? No, and as such, there will always be doubters.
