All her fans will enjoy Lori Rader-Day's new mystery, Under a Dark Sky. I am sure she will pick up some new fans also. Rader-Day has been compared to Agatha Christie. My mother always said that comparisons are odious. Rader-Day can hold her own.

With her husband's death, Eden Wallace has become a recluse, and has also developed an irrational fear of the dark. Finding a reservation in her late husband's papers, she decides to take a big step and use that reservation at a retreat, moved by what she is sure was to be a surprise for her.

A mix-up in the reservations means she must share what she thought was a private building. Not happy with this, she knows she must stay at least one night to avoid driving in the dark.

A group of old friends arrive at the retreat, intent on reliving their college days. Eden's plans are dashed when one of the group is murdered in the middle of the night! Left to deal with a murder and her phobia, Eden almost loses control.

Who was murdered? Why? Might there be another murder? Will Eden be the victim? Does she care? Then she discovers that the romantic night with her husband that she had envisioned was not what he had intended.

With Under a Dark Sky, Lori Rader-Day can add a winner to her already published novels – Little Pretty Things, The Black Hour, and The Day I Died.
