Freya Miller, after experiencing the loss of a dear friend, decides that she must find new work (nursing) to take her mind off the accident that killed Valerie. She answers an ad with unbelievable promises – Light Duties, Large Pay, No Questions Asked or Answered. How's that for the perfect job?

However, the job is not what she expected. She must care for Elijah, a son of the household where she now lives. Elijah is in a coma from an accident and his fiancée wants him to wake up so she can marry him and have the wedding she has dreamed of since she was a little girl. The family Vincetti, her employers, seem very sinister to her.

Something is afoot. But what? Freya not only loves fun and laughter, but also vodka which she regularly imbibes, making Moscow Mules. The Vincettis have more money than the rest of the world and live in an enormous mansion. Freya prowls the place with a key card given her access to only certain rooms. This is how she meets the Vincetti's second son Jack.

The plot of this delightful mystery keeps the reader up on what's happening without giving away the surprising ending until the proper time. Killing Adonis is a debut work for the author. I would like to spend some more time with Freya in the future.
