Faith Fairchild (part-time sleuth, minister's wife, and caterer) and Sophie Maxwell have been close friends for years. When Sophie pours out her heart to Faith, Faith decides to go to Savannah to help Sophie adjust to married life. Sophie is living in a house belonging to a relative of her husband's as she and Will look for the right home to buy.

Sophie opens the door to an old-fashioned wardrobe in one of the bedrooms and a dead body falls out! When she reports this to the police, the body has disappeared! Sophie is a newlywed. Her new husband, whom she loves with all her heart, must travel for his job, which leaves Sophie alone in a new setting in Savannah, Georgia, with no one to answer her questions about life there and her very large new family. Sophie feels intense dislike from her new sister-in-law and her husband's old girlfriend.

Faith has problems of her own. Her daughter is being bullied at school. Her husband is considering moving to a new church a distance from their New England home. Faith loves her life where they now live – but whither thou goest ... Nevertheless, Faith travels to Savannah to comfort her dear friend.

Any reader who lives in Savannah will absolutely love this book. The reader will walk the streets with Faith and Sophie as they enter some of the grand houses, and enjoy the gardens with their brilliant colors and gentle fragrances. And the food! Wow! With the climate there, food is not as hearty as in the North; the recitation of some of the parties made me want to book a room right now. The history of this old city proves very interesting.

We mustn't forget the title of the book – The Body in the Wardrobe. There was definitely one. The question right now is 'Where is it?'
