Ellie and her friends are not happy. They have just been told that the zoo they live in is closing. The little elephant and the rest of the animals are heartbroken.

'There must be something we can do,' Ellie whispered to her friends. 'The zoo is our home.'

The animals put their heads together and come up with a plan to spruce up the zoo. Perhaps this will make a difference. Being quite small, Ellie doesn't know how to help until she finds a paint brush and realizes she has some artistic talent.

The elephant goes from painting the walls to doing portraits of all her friends. When word gets out that she is an accomplished artist, people from the outside come to have their pictures painted. Not only does she save the zoo, but Ellie also becomes an international success and visitors flock to the zoo to see her work.

Children three years of age and older will relish reading about this amazing little elephant. This book should be purchased for school libraries and it also will be a major hit and used a lot at home too!
