If you have always wanted to see the inside of a submarine, Tenacity by. J. S. Law is the book for you. Readers follow the author as he takes them on a tour of a nuclear submarine. If you are in the mood for a really, really good thriller, then Tenacity is also the book for you. Thrilling moments follow thrilling moments in quick succession.

Lieutenant Danielle Lewis of the Royal Navy is sent to investigate a suicide aboard the submarine Tenacity. While others consider this a run-of-the-mill suicide, Dan sees a different scenario. Especially since the dead man's wife has been found tortured, raped and murdered! No one else sees a possible connection. Dan is sure there is one.

Tenacity prepares to leave the dock for a routine run under the sea. Dan goes along to question all of the ship's company. Knowing she is not welcome, she watches her step but can't avoid harassment at all turns, including what is almost an attempt to kill her. She is all alone on a ship filled with sailors. And, she feels, filled with lies. She wants the truth.

As Dan manages to flirt with danger, she continues to escape with her life. She has not fully recovered from a trauma a year ago when she was viciously attacked. She still suffers from migraines and has a dread of claustrophobia. A submarine is not the place to be when close quarters are extremely hard to handle. But Dan is hard-headed and determined to discover the truth. Even if it means her dismissal from the Navy.

As she skips from one dangerous moment to another, she realizes she can't trust anyone and must carry out her assignment on her own. Tenacity is one thrill after another. Might make a good Christmas present for someone as likeminded as yourself. Read it. Enjoy it.
