lthough she wasn't looking forward to helping him out, Deidre never expected, even in her wildest dreams, to find what awaited her in the house where she grew up. Her father's body floating in the backyard pool was a discovery no daughter should have to make, but that was only the beginning!
as this a terrible accident or something far more sinister? This and the events that follow make Deidre realize that perhaps the evening of her accident and the corresponding murder a former friend was involved in are about to finally play out with one more life shaking calamity.
ears earlier Joelen Nichol, Deidre's onetime best friend, confessed to killing her famous mother's boyfriend, and now Joelen has resurfaced. At her friend's house the night of the crime, Deidre must try to reconstruct what she remembers of the long ago nightmare that might have set moving a series of things which are just now finally playing out.
et in the 1960s and 1980s, this gripping story which, in part, is snatched from the headlines of a murder from the author's own youth, will have the reader glued to the page until the closing chapters. Halle Ephron grew up in Beverly Hills and the glamor, scandals and personal dramas that played out in the Hollywood of yesteryear find their way into this spellbinding thriller.
