My name is Callie and this is the story of how I became Sheriff of Mean and Messy Corners. My horse, Sparky, and I were out riding and I worked up a big thirst and needed a glass of milk. So we stopped at a small, out-of-the-way town. It was really a mess but the townsfolk were trying to clean it up. That explained the Messy part of the name, but I didn't understand the Mean part. Then I learned about the bad desperadoes who had been stealing milk and banjos. They even tried to rob the bank. Well, using my magic noodle lasso, I took care of this gang of miscreants. The folks were so happy they made me the town's sheriff. We changed the name of the town to Nice and Friendly Corners too! I think you'll enjoy my picture book and maybe you can read this story all by yourself if someone helps you with some of the big words. So long, pardner!
