ixteen-year-old Juliet is a straight A student with her entire life planned out. She is the last person to be impressed by seventeen-year-old Lucas, a star hockey player who's headed for the Marines as soon as he graduates.
uliet knows Lucas as a jock, a star hockey player, but not someone she'd talk to. When she notices him at the end of summer vacation before her junior year, he is doing yard work with a landscaping crew at the house next door. They exchange glances. When school starts he seems to be everywhere and she can't stop noticing him.
ucas believes he knew Juliet in a past life. He remembers their first kiss, their first dance, their first fight. He knows what will happen between them because he's already lived it. The closer they become the more Juliet worries about his sanity. He also has frequent migraine headaches. As his memories occur more frequently, his headaches become more debilitating. He drinks to stop the pain.
uliet wants to keep him safe but she doesn't know how. When he is hospitalized, she finally tells his mother about his dreams and memories. Will this help or will a misdiagnosis put him in more danger?
his is the best and most unusual time-travel romance novel I've ever read. I hope to read more by Cathleen Bell in the future.
