You'll meet the members of the brass family, discover where the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is located, and learn what cellos, bows and frogs have to do with one another as you read this book. Part of the Did You Know? series for readers four years of age and older, this thin paperback contains information about a wide range of instruments and types of music.

There's not a lot of detail here and the book isn't too lengthy, but thanks to the use of animal illustrations combined with musical material, this may be just the volume that sparks your child's interest in music. If it does, there are other, more detailed books that the youngster can read to satisfy his/her budding curiosity. Perhaps this might steer him/her towards taking up an instrument or wanting to listen to different types of music.
