'Shoe Dog chewed through five high heels, four slip-slops, three sneakers, two boots, one wing tip.' Oh dear, now the cute little puppy was really in the dog house! No head scratchies and no tummy rubs for this little fella. When his owner replaces the destroyed shoes, what does he do? Yup, he chews on them. Bad Dog! Now he's really in trouble. Will Shoe Dog end up being sent back to the pet store? I'll let you discover the original solution that Shoe Dog's owner comes up with so that her new companion can remain in the household. Some of the art in this book is a bit different and a very young child (2-3 years old) may not fully understand or recognize the main character. On the other hand, an older child will probably get it and actually like the non-traditional, clever illustrations of this little puppy.
